Current price of a bottle of beer in Zimbabwe
- With inflation in Zimbabwe hitting 150,000%, the price of a bottle of beer (now at roughly 3,000,000 Z$) will change on its way from the shelf to the cash register.
- A suitcase full of cash will no longer be required when buying groceries (at least for the moment): on January 18, 2008 Zimbabwe’s central bank issued three new banknotes: 1 million, 5 million and 10 million.
